Our City
The city of Baytown, Texas is located on the eastside of
Houston and is on the North side of the Houston Ship Channel at Galveston Bay.
It has a population of approximately 75,000, with major petrochemical industry presence
in the area. These include Exxon/Mobil, Bayer and Chevron to mention a
few.
Our Department
Our Fire Department is currently staffed with 81 firefighters on line
(27 per shift). There are three Assistant Fire Chiefs, two Battalion
Chiefs and two Lieutenants in the Administrative and Prevention Divisions.
We currently operate 4 engines, a Quint, and a Regional Hazardous
Materials Unit out of five fire stations..
Our Association
Our Association was chartered in the 1950's with the following goals in mind:
- To provide the best possible service to the citizens of Baytown and the surrounding area through a better trained department and more highly qualified firefighters.
- To promote better understanding and a better working environment with our city management.
- To promote harmony and a sense of brotherhood within our ranks
